aBOUT ME
My name is Sophia-Bella Carrasquillo (It's a long one, I know). I am a Puerto Rican-Italian actress & Florida native, now living in Hamilton Heights. Growing up in Orlando, I had many opportunities to hone my craft at school, renowned community theaters, & at The Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center.
I've been performing since the age of 3, when my mom put me in dance classes, as most little girls' moms do. For years, I adored it. One summer, my mom decided to sign me up for a musical theater camp in addition to dance classes, & the rest, as they say, was history.
SINGER | DANCER | ACTOR
Based in New York City
I began my serious pursuit of this career in a BFA program, but during my time there I realized that wasn't the right journey for me. In a somewhat spontaneous manner, I left the program & moved to the city in June of 2024, where I spent a year training at The Institute for American Musical Theater. Last fall, I hit the road with The National Tour of The Addams Family as an Ancestor & U/S Wednesday. Some of my other favorite credits include Elizabeth Benning in Young Frankenstein, Ethel Toffelmier in The Music Man, Jojo in Newsies, & Ensemble in Mean Girls (Bigfork Summer Playhouse); Ensemble/U/S Sherrie in Rock of Ages (Theater West End); Alyssa Greene in The Prom & Marilyn Wald in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (The Forestburgh Playhouse).
On October 23rd, I will be making my 54 Below Debut in
54 Sings Princesses vs Villains, Part 2!
